Amref Health Africa Tanzania in partnership with Absa Bank Tanzania and in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MoH) Zanzibar conducted its 2023 Uzazi ni Maisha campaign and Wogging (Walk -Jog-Run) event on 26th August 2023 at Maisara Grounds, Zanzibar.

The Wogging event was honored by the President of Zanzibar and the Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, HE. Hussein Ali Hussein Mwinyi, accompanied by other government top leaders and official dignitaries.

With the theme “Changia Vifaa tiba kwa Uzazi Salama” meaning “Support Medical Equipment and Supplies for Safe Delivery” the Wogging focused on creating awareness on the importance of having enough and advanced medical equipment to support safe delivery, through engaging the government, corporates, parastatals, public entities, private sector and individual supporters to contribute and facilitate the availability of medical equipment especially in the rural settings.
