Amref Health Africa Tanzania in partnership with NBC Bank Ltd and in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MoH) Zanzibar conducted its 2022 Uzazi ni Maisha campaign and Wogging (Walk -Jog-Run) event on 27th August 2022 at Amani Stadium, Zanzibar.

The Wogging event was honored by the President of Zanzibar and the Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, HE. Hussein Ali Hussein Mwinyi, accompanied by the Minister of Health Zanzibar Hon. Nassor Ahmed Mazrui and other government top leaders and official dignitaries.

With the theme “Changia Vifaa tiba kwa Uzazi Salama” meaning “Support Medical Equipment and Supplies for Safe Delivery” the Wogging focused on creating awareness on the importance of having enough and advanced medical equipment to support safe delivery, through engaging the government, corporates, parastatals, public entities, private sector and individual supporters to contribute and facilitate the availability of medical equipment especially in the rural settings.
